Make a tiny bookmark of the state you’re in right now. Just notice: here you are, reading these words… eyes open, breathing happening on its own, mind doing its thing. Already in motion.
Put your hands in your lap, across your belly, or by your sides.
Now, inhale — really take it in. Pause. Exhale.
Next breath, slow it down a notch:let the belly rise like warm bread, let the ribs widen, let the air lift all the way up to the throat.
Suspend the breath — just a soft hold — and exhale… like you’re letting the day fall off your shoulders.
Close your eyes. Three more breaths like that. I’ll wait.
When you’re done, open your eyes. Make another little bookmark — the “after.” Feel the quiet shift? The softening of edges? The small yes inside?
That’s yoga. Not poses. Not sweating. Not contortion. Just this—awareness dropping gently into the body you’ve been carrying around all day long.
Yoga is simply Self-Awareness. And if that doesn’t light you up, that’s perfectly fine — truly. Go move your body in whatever way delights you.
But if something in you is curious, or soothed, or a little bit relieved right now…then Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and Kundalini Yoga are waiting for you.
The only question is: which doorway feels like home today?
