The famous Chinese Wind Gong hanging out in the studio

Sat Nam, and Welcome in,

This blog piece is all about our gong immersions. If you've resisted coming for any reason, we hope this will change your mind. It's really one of our most intriguing classes.

Doors open 15 minutes before start time so that you can get comfortable, use the restroom, choose your space, and get settled in. You can ask for water, or an eye shade for complete darkness; you can ask for any prop, such as a bolster for under your knees, or for the fan to be turned on, off, or slowed down. Anything we can do to make you as comfortable as possible is on the menu.

We used to blow up beds, and we still will if you request one, but we've moved to using sturdy cots with lots of padding on them. We keep everything clean and sanitized so there's no worry about catching a cold from a blanket.

Once the gongs begin, you begin to listen to more than sound. The vibrations roll through the room like waves, dissolving thoughts before they even form. You might feel the tones moving through your chest or spine, or sense them hovering just above you like a current of golden air. Some people drift into deep rest; other's feel an energetic stirring or see colors and images before their eyes. Every session is differemnt, because every nervous system is unique—and every heart has it's own way of saying yes.

The science is simple and profound. Gong frequencies entrain the brain toward slower, more balanced rhythms—alpha and theta states associated with meditation, creativity, and repair. The body responds by lowering stress hormones, regulating breath, and improving circulation. In short: you rest deeply while your system resets itself. There’s no effort required. You lie down, breathe, and the sound does the work.

Psychologically, the gong acts like a mirror and a broom. The mirror shows you what’s present inside—tension, resistance, hope, longing—and the broom gently clears it away. The sound field helps loosen old mental knots and emotional clutter, making room for new insights and spontaneous creativity. You might find that a problem that felt impossible yesterday suddenly feels clear today. Come with an intention, or simply come to rest. The gongs will meet you exactly where you are.

When you’re ready to experience it for yourself, we hold gong immersions on demand — $40 per person or $60 per couple. We also have standing classes every Friday at noon, and Tuesday and Sunday evenings at 7 PM. The gongs sing for an hour or more, followed by fifteen quiet minutes for grounding and refreshment before you reenter the world.

You can book right on our website, through the app, or simply text or call Andrea to arrange a private date. However you arrive, you’ll be welcomed in. No experience needed, no expectations required — just a willingness to rest, receive, and remember what peace feels like.

Wishing you rest, resonance and renewal this fall,

With love,

Andrea & Mike
